Morning person, Being a
Being a morning person does not give you the right to talk to your library coworkers before 9:00 a.m. Be courteous and give them some space. Conversations involving database contracts, 856 fields, or Access reports are strictly prohibited until after lunch.

Amen.
Very good advice. I can't even put together a coherent sentence until after my coffee.
Even an enthusiastic 'Hello' should be banned.
I hate it when I'm half awake and other librarians skip up to me exclaiming, "Good morning! How are you?" I want to say, "Really? Have you not looked at me? Wet hair, eyes half open, toothpaste on the corners of my mouth... How do you think I am?" And then I spend the rest of the morning at the reference desk fantasizing about punching various faces.
Too true.
Thank you!
Nor does my being a morning person give you this right.
Thank you! Can't I just have half an hour (at least) to actually sit down and attempt to wake up before you're at me with your bubbly questions. And grunting and responding with one word answers doesn't seem to work either.
