Up, Cleaning
If someone vomits in a public area of your library, don’t trouble your janitorial staff to clean it up. Simply burn down the building and start from scratch with a new library.

I'm tempted. Someone vomited on the linoleum floor in our instruction room. Over a year later, the room still smells faintly of vomit.
A staff member was just asking me today who would be responsible for cleaning up vomit! Now I know, we just burn done the building! Thanks!
The same should be done when a bathroom is defiled with "poop art."
Hilarious that you posted this - I got to clean up my first vomit yesterday and it made me really glad that I am paying thousands of dollars in student loan debt for my MLS...
Oh my. Reminds me of a major outbreak of a gastro virus at West Point in the late 80s. It was a Sunday, I was working with one technician, and the poor cadets were getting hit so fast that they couldn't make it to the bathrooms. Too much history in that library to burn the building ... thank God I wore my mom clothes that day. We just did what was necessary.
Funny worked ten years in health care before changing to libraries.we have the luxury of emergency cleaners. Lol
I was busy, the student who vomited needed attention. The class she was with was waiting for the next step. So I called Maintenance and they sent a guy in half-hazmat suit with rubber gloves up to his armpits. Who knew? vomit is a "bodily fluid" and the CDC has a recommended process for its removal. Who knew?
