Costumes, Library-friendly Halloween

A cheap Halloween costume idea for librarians is to come to work wearing the uniform from your second job at Starbucks, McDonalds, or Lady Foot Locker.

I thought maybe I could switch up the name tags from the two libraries I work at. But you don't want the weirdos and stalkers at job #1 to find out about job #2 and vice versa....

Haha, I just went down to a local thrift shop and spent $20 on a bow tie and an old tan blazer. 11th Doctor!

Just a quick note to let you know that your blog was mentioned in an article that I had published in InFocus by Library Works / Librarians Yellow Pages. I even repurposed and republished it on Rivistas Subscription Services' blog at http://libraries.rivistas.com/top-25-library-blogs/

Thanks for having such a great library oriented blog!

One Halloween I worked at the circulation desk with a Starbucks apron on and gave away Coffee Crisp chocolate bars. I got many puzzled looks and a few people asked me if I worked at Starbucks... so if you show up in a uniform many patrons might just think you forgot to change.
