Popular, Being

Librarians should make pop culture references in library instruction classes to connect with younger audiences.  Today's youth are all about the Lady Gogga, Justin Bibber, and New Jersey Shore, so pretend that you are too.

Nice. I like that. I actually saw on tv one time where these Movie Critics where talking about Jersey Shore and one said I don't care for the show so I don't watch it!!! Whoever is paying this guy should fire him! I mean that's what a critic should be doing.
Wouldn't that be cool for a librarian be a critic for some things?

I just had the best reference question today. A girl came in looking for The Divine Comedy by Dante. The reason for looking this up was the Dante's Inferno video game that she's been trying to master.

@cherniavska : ... sigh... I am ashamed to say my little brother requested the same from me the other day.

Hey, whatever the motivation...

I don't mean to embarrass you, but I'm pretty sure it's "Justine Bibber".

Another great post.

Librarians are exactly as in touch as our patrons need us to be. If they call him/her Justin Bibber, so shall we!

All things to all people, folks.
