Glamorous, Being
A polite librarian should resist any attempts at glamor or fashion and refrain from wearing meat dresses at the reference desk. A cardigan covered with Greek yogurt and cat hair is adequately fashionable.

Pictures would be nice with this one!
Glamour is ALWAYS recommended at the Circulation Desk; albeit not Gaga Glamour... ;-)
Don't forget the Crocs - the new librarian shoes
I don't have a cat. Would dog hair be acceptable?
I don't have pets. Would my own hair be acceptable? Maybe I can knit a cardigan out of my own hair.
If I wore a meat dress some of the patrons would attempt to eat it.
Generally I like to dress like I am going to a cocktail party. I am not joking. A university dean once asked me where the party was, and he was not joking.
Leathered librarians are always bound to please!
