Spelling, Checking your
Always double-, triple-, and quadruple-check your spelling before posting flyers, web pages, and other advertisements for your library's special events. Otherwise you might be surprised by the clientele at your library's midnight Hairy Pooter release party.

Tell them it's a Grossmith Tribute night!
"Pubic Library" is a pretty common typo on library websites.
Awesome! That is so funny...my friend kept calling it that! Ha ha.
My library years ago came very close to sending out a survey on computer equipment that asked:
How large is your floppy dick?
This embarassing typo was found on the very last proofing before it went out in campus mail.
The library vendor where I used to work, in the early days of the Web, included a numeric URL in a newsletter article. It was supposed to go to some library-esque site. But thanks to a typo it went to Hot Asian Babes. The staffer who discovered (and as it turned out, made) the error started screaming uncontrollably when she typed it in. It was a good day.
We almost had a Teen program in Marital Arts instead of the intended Martial Arts.
You crack me up! You know I'm a librarian too! Not that that says much...
Once we had our book fair in the recital hall, except the students making the posters forgot the i in recital . . .
We once had a local history subject heading for a politician with an unfortunate private life which said:
"Mr X: Pubic Sector Management"
How about offering T-Shits for sale?
...or making a request for a colleague to cover your reference shit.
or an event where coffee, tea and light snakes were to be served.
