Snacks, Squirreling

During the cold winter months, librarians will sometimes deplete their stores of office snacks, frozen Weight Watchers meals, and vending machine fare at their libraries. Should the need arise, you may turn your computer keyboard upside down, shake it, and find a full meal of granola, muffin crumbs, and M&Ms Minis.

I had to get some protective eyewear when I used compressed air to clean my keyboard. The muffin crumbs were hazardous!

yup! that would be the technician working for my team. It's a disgusting mess. We've found found mouse turds near by, even better! I suggested she put her food into tins because the mice are around, she slurped up some cereal, dripping milk into the keyboard and said "no, there aren't any mice here. Why would there be mice?"
sigh.... the things they don't teach us at lib school.

That is so nasty, and yet, so true.

O.K., spill it! Did somebody from my library email you about me? They must have. They wanted to make an example of a librarian who is not practicing the rules of etiquette. Actually, I am glad to know I am not the only one who leaves crumbs inside her keyboard. Linda
