Hats, Wearing

A polite librarian should never wear a hat at the reference desk... unless you plan to subtly make it an essential element of your reference interview technique.

Talk about upping the ante! That puts my jazz hands to shame.

I would, however, like to retain the right to wear a hat at our library's Information Desk. There are so many lights directly overhead that my scalp is getting a sunburn!
