Banned Books Week, Promoting

Librarians should be wary of abbreviating Banned Books Week as "BBW" in their promotional advertisements, flyers, and signs. (Google it.)

Also, if you use the ALA graphics and have the 'FORBIDDEN' sign up in your display, be warned that you will get nutters who won't read properly asking why the library is supporting a particular candidate.

No, really, this did happen.

And don't put up Caution tape or any official looking signs. Campus Police may get a little annoyed.
