Robot, You are not a

Librarians should refrain from calling themselves "cybrarians."  If you talk this way, it may be time for someone to reformat your hard drive.

Did that book, "This Book is Overdue..." make you think of this? My stomach turned when I saw "cybrarian" in the subtitle...I hate how this whole profession constantly comes off as the pitful loser trying to be cool.

I used to fulminate against words like "burglarize" (it's "burgle"!) and "prioritize" (it's "order by priority"!). Finally I decided that hey, language changes over time. Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. But it changes, and I'm not going to stop the tide.

yeah, but being mentioned in that book is my sole claim to fame this year... don't ruin it!
