Expertise, Establishing

Always begin your answer to a reference question by stating your educational credentials.  Your master's degrees in library science and English literature will lend credibility to your directions to the nearest restroom.

There is nothing more fun than dealing with a patron that has no clue about how to use a computer or how to locate information, but they somehow know enough to tell me that I am doing it wrong. Guess what? Notwithstanding education, I have been doing this for a while now, jackass!
