Without, Doing

Librarians should celebrate National Library Week by temporarily closing their libraries.  Nothing will make your patrons appreciate their libraries and librarians like going for a whole week without free books and movie rentals, free wireless Internet, and online pornography.

That only gives ammunition to those city bureaucraps who will say "See? Nobody really misses libraries!" and cut funding. They will use any feeble excuse. After all, they can surf pron on their taxpayer-provided office computers.

Apparently the elementary school library closest to my public library really is closed for National Library Week. I don't get it.

yep, my school library was closed, Texas Library Association was during this week
