Bliss, Avoidance is
It is perfectly acceptable to take long, circuitous routes from point A to point B in your library so that you can pretend you didn't see the entire contents of the children's section dumped in the floor.

That is if you know where those points are and even where the children's section is.
To hell with the books- I slink around the library just to avoid a choice number of patrons.
Heck yeah!
I like to "rove" when I see those customers coming...I have the perfect route through the library that allows me minimal interaction with customers and maximum browsing of the books.
I just hide in my office all day with the door closed like a good manager should
Sudden interest in emptying the back book drop with a stop in at the two manager's offices on the way. Since most of the patron's I avoid are talkers, I take my sweet time!
It sure would be a lot queieter if those pesky patrons would stay away and we would not have do clever tricks to avoid them. Gee!
